Getting Started
My Album. This is your private area for storing your photographs. You can share your user name and password with others but it recommended you use the Forums feature for this purpose.

Uploading. The first time you visit My Album it is empty. To add your photographs to My Album follow these simple steps.
1. Click on the Upload link at the left side of the menu bar and the following information is displayed.

2. Click on Browse to bring up the file dialog window and chose the file to upload.
  Navigate to then select a JPEG photograph (any files with the extenison jpg) or a ZIP archive file (files with the extension zip) containing multiple JPEG files.
3. Click on the Upload button to copy the file from your computer to our server.
  During the upload process do not press any other buttons or click on any links as it will terminate the upload. After the upload is completed the page shown in the next step is displayed.
4. After the page shown below is displayed your photograph has finished uploading. Click on Done.

Viewing. After a photograph has been uploaded you can try out the basic viewing options.
1. Now click on the small image (these are refered to as thumbnails) of the photograph you uploaded. This displays the following page.

2. Click the Zoom button.
  A new window opens and displays your photograph sized to 800 by 600 pixels. To crop the image click 2 points defining diagonal corners of the area to crop then click on Zoom. Note that the coordinates of the points you pick are echoed in the Zoom Window Coordinates area.

You can save any of the cropped views by entering a new image name then pressing the Save button.


Joining Forums. Forums are areas designed for you to share your pictures with others. Forums can be of general interest such as airplane pictures or of interest to only a small group such as birthday party photographs.
1. Click on the Forums link in the menu bar to display of list of Forums you can join. This list shows only the public Forums.
2. Review the list of Forums and if are interested in one click on its name to become a member.
  After joining you will be taken to the Forum where you can browse any existing photographs or upload your own photographs.

Creating a new Forum. Creating your own Forum is easy and, as the owner, you get full control of the Forum. Before creating the Forum you must decide if you want it to be Public or Private. Anyone can join and participate in a Public Forum. You as the Forum owner control who belongs to your Private Forum.

The instructions below guide you through the process of creating a Private Forum.

1. Click on the Forums link in the menu bar to display the Forums page.
2. Click on the New Forum link in the menu bar of the Forums page. This displays a new window with the following information.

3. Enter the name of your new Forum. For example MyBirthdayParty. Note spaces are not allowed in a Forum name. If the name you selected is already in use you must back up and try a different name.
4. Click the checkbox next to Private. As the owner will you must add the usernames of anyone you want to access your Forum.
5. Click the Create Forum button and the following confirmation is displayed.

6. The next step is to add other users to your private Forum.
  After selecting Click here (above) you will see your new Forum, MyBirthdayParty, displayed in the list of Forums. This is listed only if you are a member of the Forum. To the right of the Forum name you will see [Members]. Click on this link and the following page will be displayed.

7. Enter the usernames of any LargeImage users who you like like to have access to your private Forum. Note, other members of the Forum can view the list of members but only you can add or delete members since you own this Forum.
